BBJ Environmental Solutions Reports 41% Increase in 4th Quarter Sales
Tampa, January 25, 2002
BBJ Environmental Technologies (OTCBB: BBJE - news) today announced operating results for its fourth quarter ended December 31, 2001. The Company reported revenues from product sales of $81,762, compared to $58,092 for the three months ended December 31, 2000. Total operating expenses increased to $474,233 for the three months ended December 31, 2001, from $394,320 for the three months ended December 31, 2000. The increase was due primarily to costs associated with increasing the Company's sales force, development of the Automated Clean In Place product, and marketing and public relations expenses.
"The restructuring of our sales force and implementing a new sales strategy is beginning to generate positive sales results. The increase in revenue of 41% during the 4th quarter is evidence that the Company's sales and marketing plan is working," noted Jerry Schinella, President of BBJ Environmental Solutions. "In June 2001, BBJ hired a Director of Sales to initiate a change in the Company's sales and marketing strategy to develop relationships with manufacturer's representatives and hire sales personnel to expand product distribution and promotion through HVAC/R wholesalers. Since that time, we have experienced nearly a 40% increase in net sales over the same 6-month period last year."
Michael Nole, Director of Sales added, "We continue to make significant inroads in getting our product line into quality HVAC/R wholesale distributors across the country. This is evidenced by our recent selection as CC Dickson's Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) products vendor for their 108 distribution stores which we anticipate will generate over $1,000,000 in sales for BBJ. The Company has added 6 employees to our sales force that sell directly to HVAC/R wholesale distributors and support our manufacturing representatives. As we head into 2002, we will continue to improve our sales results with efforts from our direct field personnel and gain further name recognition in the industry as we expand representation. The Company has also introduced several new products including our Automated Clean In Place system, which will add to our revenue base."
