BBJ MicroBiocide (For use in Air Ducts)

Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), Technical Data Sheet (PDS), Features & Benefits

BBJ MicroBiocide for Air Ducts Today, indoor air quality (IAQ) has become a major health concern. Dark, moist areas (like ductwork) are ideal for the growth of mold and other contaminants. Molds produce allergens, irritants and in some cases toxins that may cause reactions in humans. Symptoms include allergic reaction (hay fever, runny nose, red eyes, skin rash) asthma attacks, infections, and general fatigue.

Use of conventional sanitizers or disinfectants in air ducts may cause greater harm to building occupants than the mold and microorganisms they are designed to treat.

BBJ MicroBiocide for Air Ducts is especially formulated and EPA registered to control and inhibit the growth of active microorganisms in all kinds of ducts and HVAC components including:

  • Unlined sheet metal ducts.
  • Air Supply and return ducts.
  • Flexible air ducts fabricated of metal or plastic.
  • Air handlers, mixing boxes, transfer boxes, plenums, transitions, turning vanes, dampers, fans, and fan housings.
BBJ's MicroBiocide for Air Ducts can be applied while the building is occupied and inhibits the growth of mold and other microorganisms for 6 months to 2 years. Use the entire line of quality BBJ MicroBiocides to inhibit the growth of mold and bacteria in air ducts, HVAC systems, and floors and walls.
