Controls and Inhibits Microorganisms in HVAC/R Systems (EPA Reg. No. 67212-1)
DESCRIPTION
BBJ MicroBiocide controls and inhibits the growth of microorganisms - such as gram positive and gram negative bacteria, algae, and mold - that form a biofilm on cooling coils and other working parts of HVAC/R systems for up to six months. A biofilm on HVAC/R coils causes increased operating costs as it interferes with the heat transfer process. Treatment of the coils with BBJ MicroBiocide, with its exclusive rust and corrosion inhibiting action, can make systems run more efficiently and last longer. Furthermore, HVAC systems spread these harmful contaminants - which may cause odors, damage surfaces and secrete toxic byproducts - to living and working areas. BBJ MicroBiocide controls contaminants that often cause poor Indoor Air Quality ("IAQ") and "sick building syndrome" at the source - the HVAC system. It also prevents damage caused by plugged drains by eliminating slime deposits. And it makes system cleaning easier and faster.
APPLICATION
BBJ MicroBiocide is highly effective in controlling and inhibiting the growth of active microorganisms such as gram positive and gram negative bacteria, algae, mold and other fungi that grow in HVAC/R systems. The proper use of BBJ MicroBiocide removes known biological pollutants that promote poor Indoor Air Quality from HVAC/R systems. Cooling coils, drip pans, air intakes, insulation, and other HVAC system surfaces have always been point sources for microbial contamination that may degrade a facility's IAQ. Controlling this contamination is essential to maintaining the quality of air inside buildings.
BBJ MicroBiocide also controls organisms that form a biofilm on cooling coils and other working parts of HVAC/R systems that interferes with the heat transfer process causing reduced system efficiency. BBJ MicroBiocide also prevents corrosion that is often caused by sulfuric acid secreted by common bacteria. With its exclusive rust and corrosion inhibiting action, systems run more efficiently and last longer, improving the overall operational efficiency of the entire system. Consequently, BBJ MicroBiocide is effective in extending the useful life of HVAC/R units while increasing overall energy efficiency by keeping fins and coils cleaner.

DIRECTIONS
BBJ MicroBiocide is a two-part formulation. The active ingredient BBJ MicroBiocide crystals need to be dissolved in the inert BBJ MicroBiocide Diluent solution. Then mix with 5 gallons of tap water or 3 ounces of solution with 1 gallon of tap water. It is easily applied with the use of a compressed air sprayer or fogging device. Thoroughly saturate all areas to be treated (including coils, blower assemblies, drain pans, etc.). Do not rinse off and allow to dry. If cooling coils are visibly dirty, they should be cleaned first with BBJ's Power Coil Clean or Micro Coil Clean. There is no need to evacuate the premises during application. Read label directions carefully before using product.

Power Coil Clean is a non-caustic, non corrosive heavy duty coil cleaner that safely cleans and deodorizes evaporator coils, condenser coils, heating coils, window units, air filters, blowers, and other dirty HVAC/R components without damaging metal surfaces.
Micro Coil Clean, with its highly effective detergent-based formula containing specially engineered surfactants, is specially formulated for preventative maintenance use to remove soils and deposits from cooling coils without damaging metal surfaces.
FreshDuct Odor Eliminator encapsulates odors at the source, not just covers them up. Its advanced technology destroys odors on contact to freshen and deodorize air ducts, basements, attics, crawl spaces and other areas prone to odors.
BBJ Spray Disinfectant/Cleaner combines the germ killing ability of a disinfectant with a cleaning agent. It disinfects and cleans hard, non-porous, inanimate environmental surfaces such as air-conditioning vents, grilles, diffusers and other hard surfaces where microbial contamination may accumulate.
BBJ Mold and Mildew Remover Disinfectant/Cleaner combines the germ killing ability of a disinfectant with a cleaning agent to remove harmful mold and mildew. Specially formulated to clean and disinfect walls, floors, and other surfaces where mold and mildew grow.
